My practice is weight neutral and weight inclusive, which means I believe health exists in bodies of all sizes and don’t define it using traditional metrics like weight, BMI, or body size measurements. While I may make note of these numbers, they are merely a piece in an extensive puzzle that may give us clues, but never the thing that brings it together all on its own; By extension, I don't encourage "losing weight" as a primary goal but rather, "gaining health" to promote better health overall and a higher quality of life in the long-term. Therefore, goals would heavily focus on behavior changes where you have direct control over whether they are met or not. In our work together, I will also incorporate an integrative and functional approach to identify root causes for why your body is in it's current state and attempt to initiate change from there. All of these approaches together is about exploring how to align the way you eat, move, think, and feel.
